Hello Everyone..Today is my 3rd Year Sobriety Birthday! YEAH!! Hubby took, me and his Mom and Dad to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was so yummy! We all had steak of course. And then even brought out the Birthday Saddle and had everyone wish me a Happy 3rd Year Sobriety Birthday YeeHaw! I even sat on the Saddle.

And then today Dave took me to see Angry Birds in 3D...It was great! Our new theater has full reclining chairs so you can lay back, relax and watch the movie. Loved it.

Sorry I haven't been on much I've been doing my reviews as you have probably noticed. I promised to tell you about it so here is the first one.

This is how it works. You join the site and they put up items that companies want reviewed. You can then get them for free or at a great discount. You really need to have Amazon Prime though. They are offering a 30 Day Free Trail if you have not ever had Amazon Prime before. If not they are now offering a monthly subscription. For $10.95 per month you get 2-Day Shipping for items that offer Prime Shipping. You also get Prime Early Access Deals, Prime Movies, Prime Music, Prime Pantry and More. And most of the free and discounted products are Prime Shipping so the shipping is free when you have Amazon Prime.

This is a great site to get started on as you want to start getting a review presence. Companies are looking for people who put out good reviews. They want more than just "I like it". And they want honesty. In fact you have to put in that you got the product for either free or at a discount for your free and unbiased review. I have given bad reviews when the product warranted it.

So you need to get the product, take photos of it, photos showing you use the product is even better. Then write your review. The pros and cons if there are them. You can review my reviews on my Amazon Profile Page:

I'm telling you all of this as when I started I did not know all of this and had to learn alone. Now I belong to 10 different sites and actually get companies contacting me to try their products. I average about 6 products per day now. I try to get everything to free or $1.00 and under. And only with the free Amazon Shipping.

Once you try this site I will refer you to another site. This site will allow you to just purchase whatever you want. Some sites are like this site where you see it, you buy it. Other sites ask you to Apply For the Products. You have to ask to try them and then wait to see if are picked to try them. Having a good Amazon Profile helps that. That is why I start you on the sites where you can just buy or get the freebies first. Build up your profile and then go for the application sites.

Hello Everyone...don't worry...I'm still sober, just getting products for free or at at discount for my honest and unbiased review. And I promise to share my secrets to how I'm doing this with you this week.

I just have to get caught up with my reviews. I was sick last week (even on my birthday Monday) so I'm behind. And yes, still working on the Orchid A and B! And I'll have a Blog Only Freebie later this week too.

Ok, back to my review:
There are a lot of people who think the trick to a good cocktail is just add a lot of booze. But they couldn't be more wrong. Just like there are recipes for food, there are recipes for drinks. And if you want your drinks to taste right, you need to follow the recipe. And if you search the net, you can find the recipes. 1000's of them. But you will definitely need the correct tools to make those recipes. And that is why you will need this Cocktail Shaker Set by SHIKSHOOK! It comes in a Velvet Drawstring bag so you can keep the set together when you are not using it. Inside the bag is a Stainless Steel Shaker, a 2-sided Jigger for Measuring and 2 Stainless Steel Bottle Pours. The Shaker itself has 3 pieces. When you use a shaker you first add your ice, then your liquid. You place the lid on and then the top cap. You gently shake the ingredients. You remove the top cap and then gently use the cap as the strainer to pour the liquid from the strainer into the glass. The 2-sided Jigger is used for measuring the liquid you put inside the Shaker. The smaller size is generally 3/4 ounce and the larger size is typically 1 1/2 ounces. So when you find the recipe you want to make you use the jigger to measure your alcohol or other liquid. Until you are familiar with using the Shaker I suggest you only make one drink at a time. The Bottle Pours are made to add to your bottles. These help to control the flow of liquid coming out of your bottle. This really helps when you are pouring into the jigger. If you use your liquid a lot, you can leave these in. If not, use them and then take them out, rinse them out and put away for next time. Alcohol contains sugar which can attach small bugs so you want to keep your bottle pours clean. I was a bartender for a long, long time and love Shakers. They are the only way you can make a perfect Martini, Cosmopolitan and much more. Cassandras Corner Review: Somasix 62 Piece Refrigerator Magnets

When the kids come to visit you have to make sure you are ready. You get their favorite movies, favorite snacks, favorite toys and you have to make sure you have fun activities to keep them occupied! And I love toys that are educational that we can do together. I had refrigerator magnets when I was a child so when I saw these I knew they were perfect for the kids. For one, they have all 24 upper case letters, 24 lower case letters and the numbers 0-9. My set only had A-Z Upper Case. And since they are magnets I can put them on the refrigerator and keep an eye on them while I am in the kitchen. And I'm always in the kitchen when the kids arrive. We all have the urge to be in the kitchen...lol! With all these letters you can make so many words and I can even ask them to spell out the words or practice counting. They think they are having fun and I know they are learning. They are nice big letters so they are easy for small hands to handle. And the magnets on the back are very well secured to make sure they stay where they belong. When I was young we used sheet pans to play on. And also metal lunch boxes are perfect as they can hold all the letters and you can use the lid to spell out words. Plus that way they can travel with their new toys.

Monday the 9th is my 53rd Birthday....YEAH! I no longer worry about my age...it is what it is...lol! A few years ago I went to every website of restaurants or fast food joints we had in my town. And I signed up for their newsletters. I made sure to put my birthday in so I could get freebies on my Birthday. Now not all of them offer freebies, but every year some of them do.

Already here are some of the ones that have already send me free coupons for my Birthday. And they don't have to be used on the actual date, just in the month of May.


Texas Roadhouse: I love this one as Dave's Parents take us all their for birthdays. I love my steak Rare, not blue, but Rare. Guess being born in Texas rubbed off on me. Plus you get 2 sides and I always choose one of the sides to be half mushrooms and half onions. Then I share them with Dave and his Dad. Mom is allergic to mushrooms, but shes OK with us having them...thanks Mom! For my other side I switch between a baked potato with everything or a sweet potato with brown sugar, butter and syrup...YUMM! So my coupon is good for a free Appetizer! I love their fried pickles, I know that sounds weird, but they are so yummy. And on the way out we always get a few bags of peanuts for hubby to take to work. 


 
Sonic Drive-In: If you have never been to a Sonic....GO!! I love their foot long Chili Dogs. Sure they are hard to eat in your car, but it's not impossible. And their shakes are AMAZING! They have specials and discounts all the time. And if you sign up you can get them sent to your email or phone. And if you've never had their French Toast Sticks you have to try them...They are my all time favorites. Their coupon is a free order of Medium Tots with any purchase. Now that will be easy. A Shake and tots. Sounds like the perfect dinner to me!


 
Del Taco: Now this one is a real treat for me...A free Premium Shake! Choose from creamy Vanilla, decadent Chocolate, or indulgent Strawberry, topped with REAL whipped cream. Now when I think of a Taco fast food restaurant I don't think of shakes, but these are sooooo yummy. I get Chocolate and they are so thick you need a spoon to eat it. I also love their food and they are open 24 hours here. And they have a great Buck and under Menu. I love their Crunchtada Tostada and Burritos and Dave likes their Fish Tacos. And it's really nice to be able to get a lot more for your buck!

 

Arby's: Their roast beef sandwiches are so good, but what I love the most are their sauces. Their special Arby's BBQ sauce and Horsey Sauce!  I mean it, I could drink the stuff. So when we find really good coupons for Arby's we go and then get as many sauces as they will give us....lol! The Horsey Sauce is really good on Ham Sandwiches. And I'm obsessed with their Potato Cakes. They are so good and so bad for you at the same time! But for a treat every now and then they are wonderful! My coupon is a Free Small Shake with any order. Guess it's time for some Potato Cakes and a Shake...lol!
 

iHop: This one we always use, it's for a full stack of FREE Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity® Pancakes*. The best part is that if you don't want that you can get anything else that is that price or they will take that amount off you check. So hubby and I go together and get some great food. Of course it's always pancakes, waffles, crepes, etc. But it's always so yummy! So on my Birthday, hubby and I will be going to get our Pancake on...lol!

Now don't get me wrong, we don't eat like this all the time...in fact we hardly ever eat like this. If we did I'd weigh 400 lbs. In fact since I gave up liquor and aspartame I've lost 40 lbs in the last 3 years. No dieting, just giving that up. Liquor really packs on the pounds.

So now if I go crazy every now and then I don't feel bad. I just make sure to drink lots of water and if I feel full, that's what to-go boxes are for!

So check out the restaurants and fast food places in your area and see what they offer for you and your family's birthdays. It has to be at least a month before the date if you want to get the coupons in time. If I get more, I'll post them too.

Photo is Stewart when we got him on Christmas 2014. He is half Manx so he is getting really huge now. He slept on my chest the first few weeks and was sitting on my lap in this photo Now he's daddy's lap kitty. He takes up his entire lap and overlaps it. All of our kitties are rescues and they are the most loving kitties ever!
